The Ultimate Automotive Extravaganza: Vietnam AutoExpo 2025 Accelerates the Vietnamese Automotive Industry with Over 200 Participating Businesses.

On June 12, the 18th International Exhibition on Transportation, Vehicles, and Supporting Industries – Vietnam AutoExpo 2025 officially opened at the ICE International Exhibition Center in Hanoi. The event was organized by the Industry Agency (VIA) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Vietnam Supporting Industry Association (VASI), the Vietnam Automobile Engineers Association (VSAE), and C.I.S Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition Fair Company.

Speaking at the event on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Pham Van Quan, Deputy Director of the Industry Agency, shared that Vietnam’s automotive and mechanical industries have made remarkable progress. 

“The automotive and mechanical industries are not just about manufacturing; they represent the strength of technology, the level of industrialization, and the nation’s standing. If we want Vietnam to become a developed industrial nation, we must master the mechanical, automotive, and high-tech industries. This event is not only an opportunity to introduce new technologies and products but also a platform for demonstrating the spirit of integration, transformation, and aspiration for advancement of Vietnam’s industries,” he added.

Mr. Pham Van Quan also acknowledged that despite the achievements, the Vietnamese automotive industry faces certain limitations, such as low localization rates, reliance on imported auto parts, and a fragmented supporting industry landscape. To address these challenges, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has created favorable legal frameworks and the Industry Agency is implementing programs to provide more practical support to businesses, including the development of an information center to connect supporting industry enterprises.

Mr. Phan Dang Tuat, Chairman of the Vietnam Supporting Industry Association (VASI), emphasized the rapidly growing demand for transportation in Vietnam, presenting a lucrative market for automobile and motorcycle manufacturers and traders. With new policies in effect and the determination of enterprises to expand their assembly lines and keep up with global trends, the Vietnamese automotive industry has achieved promising results. The year 2025 is expected to bring notable changes, especially in increasing localization rates as more businesses invest in domestic automobile production.

“The government’s new policies and the clear trend of foreign investment are painting a brighter picture for the automotive and supporting industries for automobiles and motorcycles in Vietnam,” highlighted Mr. Phan Dang Tuat.

Vietnam AutoExpo 2025 serves as a professional platform for businesses involved in the assembly, manufacturing, and trading of automobiles, motorcycles, electric vehicles, spare parts, and related fields. The exhibition provides an opportunity for businesses to network, connect with potential customers, and promote their products, contributing to the transformation of Vietnam’s automotive and motorcycle industries.

With over 200 booths and the participation of nearly 200 domestic and international enterprises, along with companies specializing in electric vehicles and accessories, the exhibition is expected to attract 12,000 visitors. Vietnam AutoExpo 2025 affirms its position as a reputable annual event in the Vietnamese market for automobiles, motorcycles, and supporting industries.
