Authorities seize over 60 tons of unauthorized aquatic environment treatment products in Kien Giang Province.
According to the Domestic Market Management and Development Agency (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade), the 6th Team of the Kien Giang Provincial Market Management Division, in collaboration with local authorities, inspected a production and business facility in Chau Thanh District and discovered over 60 tons of aquatic environment treatment products of unknown origin and substandard production conditions.
Specifically, the inspection team uncovered a large volume of evidence and production equipment, including: 32,500 kg of various raw materials; 31,950 kg of finished and semi-finished goods; 6,054 packages of various types; and multiple machinery such as electronic scales, spring clock scales, sewing machines, and mixers.

At the time of the inspection, the facility was found to be using mixers, sewing machines, and spring scales to blend raw materials, portion, and package the finished products. The products were either in the process of being packaged or already packaged, bearing various brand labels. Notably, pre-printed packages with different company names were being used for on-site packaging.
During the inspection, the facility’s representative failed to present the required Certificate of Qualification for Production. All raw materials used lacked invoices or documents proving their origin and provenance. Moreover, the finished and semi-finished goods violated regulations on product labeling.
The 6th Team of the Market Management Division has proceeded to confiscate all related evidence and equipment, and further verification, documentation, and legal proceedings will follow in accordance with the law.
