Following the entry into Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces, the report projected economic and social development targets for the new Bac Ninh province for the period of 2026-2030, with an average growth rate of on-site GRP reaching 10.5 to 12.5%/year; per capita GRDP is expected to reach $8,500 by 2030.

By 2030, the new Bac Ninh province aims to achieve a total import and export turnover of $212 billion. During the period of 2026-2030, the province’s state budget revenue is expected to reach over VND 375,000 billion, with a projected state budget revenue of more than VND 88,000 billion in 2030 alone; total local budget expenditure for 2026-2030 is expected to be nearly VND 280,000 billion.

According to Tien Phong newspaper’s investigation, in the first six months of this year, Bac Ninh’s economic growth is estimated to have exceeded 9%, surpassing even the double-digit growth scenario. The industrial production index increased by more than 10% compared to the same period, and state budget revenue surged by over 50%.

The province granted investment licenses to 66 domestic projects with a total registered capital of over VND 180,000 billion (20 times higher than the same period last year), and attracted nearly $2.8 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), 2.5 times higher than the previous year.

In the first five months of the year, Bac Giang province’s industrial production index rose by more than 27%, with significant increases in certain manufacturing sectors such as electronics and electronic components, which saw a surge of over 85%. The estimated value of industrial production exceeded VND 338,800 billion, marking a rise of over 27% compared to the same period. Total import and export turnover surpassed $33 billion, 1.7 times higher than the previous year.
