In the evening of June 13, the Domestic Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) coordinated with Ben Thanh Ward Police to inspect Saigon Square Trading Center in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
As the inspection team appeared, stalls inside the center simultaneously pulled down their shutters or covered their wares to avoid inspection by authorities.

Despite many stalls being closed, the authorities managed to access those that were still open and secured the premises to proceed with inspecting the goods.
At these stalls, the authorities also discovered several hundred garments and bags suspected of being counterfeit or knock-offs of famous global brands. The inspected stalls were also unable to produce complete invoices and documents.
Previously, on May 29, six task forces from the Domestic Market Management and Development Department inspected a series of stalls at the Saigon Square Trading Center. Despite many stalls hastily closing to avoid inspection, thousands of products such as watches, bags, wallets, and sunglasses bearing signs of counterfeiting or imitating famous brands such as Rolex, Longines, Patek Philippe, LV, Gucci, Dior, YSL, Celine, Goyard, Chanel, Hermès, Bottega Veneta, and Prada were discovered.
