
The Vietnamese auto market is witnessing a wave of extensive price cuts in June 2025, spanning across SUV and sedan segments. Notably, in the B-segment sedans, various models are offering promotions to attract consumers and boost sales.
Specifically, Toyota is offering a 50% discount on registration fees for the Vios, equivalent to a reduction of 23-27 million VND. After the discount, the actual selling price of the Vios ranges from 435 to 518 million VND, depending on the version. Additionally, some dealers are offering further discounts of 30-35 million VND along with accessory gift packages.
Joining the race, Honda is providing a 50% support on registration fees for the City, resulting in a decrease of 25-28 million VND. This brings the actual selling price down to 474-541 million VND. This offer is applicable nationwide, regardless of the registration area.
The Hyundai Accent currently enjoys a price reduction of 22-28 million VND (equivalent to 50% of the registration fee), bringing the car’s price down to 417-541 million VND. Notably, some dealers in the northern region are offering an even more attractive deal with a 70% discount on the registration fee, saving buyers about 40 million VND.
Meanwhile, the 2024 VIN version of the Nissan Almera stands out with a 100% support on registration fees, equivalent to a reduction of 52.9 million VND, bringing the car’s price down to 476.1 million VND. In contrast, the 2025 VIN version only receives a 50% discount on registration fees.
For the Mitsubishi Attrage, the standard MT version is offered with a 100% support on registration fees, amounting to 38 million VND, bringing the price down to 342 million VND. The CVT Premium variant receives a 50% support on registration fees (approximately 24.5 million VND), resulting in a new price of 465.5 million VND. These two versions also come with additional accessories, while the mid-range CVT version does not have any promotions.

In May 2025, the B-segment sedan market experienced significant fluctuations. After two consecutive months of being surpassed by the Hyundai Accent and Honda City, the Toyota Vios made a surprising comeback with 1,148 units sold, a 48.5% increase compared to April. This was also the month with the highest sales for the model since the beginning of 2025, propelling the Toyota Vios to the top spot in the segment with a total of 4,206 units sold in the first five months.
The second position was held by the Hyundai Accent with 638 units sold, a 12.3% increase from the previous month. The Mazda2 climbed to third place in the B-segment sedan sales ranking with 439 units sold, a slight decrease of 7.6%. Meanwhile, the Honda City dropped to fourth place in May with only 308 units sold, a significant decline of 68% compared to the previous month.
The Mitsubishi Attrage experienced a second consecutive month of declining sales, with 156 units sold in May, a nearly 18% drop. From the beginning of the year until now, this model has only achieved 727 units, ranking last in the B-segment sedan market.
