VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, is accelerating its presence in the world’s third-largest automotive market. At this point, besides expediting the completion of its factory, VinFast is also rushing to establish its dealer network.

Recently, social media has been abuzz with the first glimpses of VinFast’s dealership in the Indian market. These images were shared from the Instagram account of Deepak CS, a VinFast dealer in Kalamassery, Ernakulam, Kerala.

Based on the released images, although the construction is not yet finished, it is evident that VinFast will utilize a contrasting blue color scheme, complemented by a prominent logo. The interior space is likely to feature an open design with a vehicle display area at the front and a customer service and consultation area at the back. Interior fittings are currently under construction. This is the first time that images of the VinFast dealership in India have surfaced online, indicating that the launch date is not far off.

It is understood that VinFast’s manufacturing facility in Tuticorin, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, will officially commence operations in Q3 2025 with an initial capacity of 50,000 vehicles per annum. In addition to Tamil Nadu, VinFast is in discussions with the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to establish additional facilities.

Besides recognizing India as a market with immense growth potential, VinFast is also aiming to leverage the existing supplier ecosystem in this market as a pivotal element in its long-term development strategy. Currently, VinFast sources a certain proportion of components from Indian suppliers, although the exact percentage has not been disclosed. However, the company has confirmed that some parts, such as the body-in-white and infotainment system, will be localized from the launch of the vehicles.

VinFast is still considering the public charging model in India. If implemented, VinFast may receive support from state governments, which are actively promoting the development of electric vehicle infrastructure.
