According to information from the Hòa Bình Provincial Police’s e-newspaper, on June 13, 2025, the Economic Police Investigation Agency of the Hòa Bình Provincial Police decided to initiate a criminal case for “Violation of accounting regulations, causing serious consequences” at Phát Đạt Stone Company, located in Lạng area, Bo town, Kim Bôi district, Hòa Bình province.
The Investigation Agency also decided to prosecute and detain Nguyễn Văn Đây (57 years old), director of the company, and Bùi Yên Khánh (38 years old), the company’s accountant.

Previously, according to initial findings, Phát Đạt Stone Company was licensed to exploit and process limestone for common construction materials under License No. 100/QD-UBND dated December 10, 2009, issued by the People’s Committee of Hòa Bình Province. The permitted exploitation capacity was 30,000 cubic meters per year of raw stone, equivalent to 37,500 cubic meters per year of finished stone products.
However, during the exploitation and processing of minerals, the company was found to have exploited an estimated volume of 305,372 cubic meters of raw stone but reported and declared untruthfully about the exploited reserves. They also deliberately provided and confirmed false accounting information and data, causing tax losses to the state in the range of billions of VND.
The Economic Police Investigation Agency of the Hòa Bình Provincial Police is consolidating the case file and expeditiously investigating the case in accordance with legal regulations.
