The Department of Agriculture and Environment, in collaboration with the Land Registration Office, recently handed over 441 land markers to representatives of the People’s Committees of the districts and communes. These markers delineate the boundary of the project for the construction of the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway, which spans across 5 districts: Gia Loc, Binh Giang, Tu Ky, Thanh Ha, and Cam Giang.
Of the total markers, Gia Loc district received 171, Binh Giang received 133, Tu Ky 67, Thanh Ha 44, and Cam Giang 26. The project affects a total area of 218.2 hectares of land, encompassing 4,583 plots, including 4,047 agricultural plots and 536 residential plots.
The process of land marker handover, boundary determination, and land ownership clarification is crucial to ensure fair and legal land acquisition. It helps prevent disputes and unauthorized construction or cultivation within the project area.
The Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project has a preliminary investment of VND 203,000 billion and a length of approximately 390 km, passing through 9 provinces and cities. The section passing through Hai Duong province is 40.96 km long and will include 3 railway stations: Binh Giang station in Hung Thang commune (Binh Giang district), Hai Duong Nam station in Le Loi, yet Kieu, and Gia Loc town (Gia Loc district), and Tu Ky station in Chi Minh commune (Tu Ky district).
