“Today’s commitment to purchase an additional 40 Trent 7000 engines demonstrates the airline’s confidence in the combination of the Trent 7000 and the A330neo,” said Rob Watson, President of Civil Aerospace at Rolls-Royce. “The superior flexibility of this aircraft and engine combination enables airlines to serve a wide range of markets and optimize fleet adaptability. Our £1 billion investment in time on wing for the Trent engine family has enhanced the Trent 7000, in some cases, tripling its time on wing. Vietjet is a leading partner of Rolls-Royce in the Asia-Pacific region, and we are proud to accompany the airline in connecting Vietnam to the world with leading-edge technology.”

Vietjet’s CEO, Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong, shared, “We trust in Rolls-Royce as a strategic partner, accompanying Vietjet in our vision to develop a new generation of wide-body fleets. The additional investment of 40 Trent 7000 engines within just one year demonstrates Vietjet’s strong commitment to expanding our international operations, especially towards long-haul markets such as Europe, North Asia, and North America. With Trent 7000 and TotalCare, we are getting closer to our goal of delivering a global flying experience with superior quality, optimized costs, and contributions to the sustainable development of the aviation industry.”
