On June 21st, six communes and wards of the new Da Nang city commenced their pilot operations as per the plan of the Steering Committee for the reorganization and integration of administrative units in Quang Nam and Da Nang provinces.

According to reporters, the pilot operations in these new wards and communes went smoothly, successfully completing their programs and plans as scheduled.

The units involved in this trial run included Thanh Khe Ward, Ngu Hanh Son Ward, Hoa Vang Commune (Da Nang), Tam Ky Ward, Dai Loc Commune, and Tien Phuoc Commune (Quang Nam). On the same morning, the Party Committees of these six wards and communes organized the first conference of the Ward/Commune Party Executive Committee. They also passed the Working Regulations of the Ward/Commune Party Executive Committee, discussed and passed resolutions to lead the comprehensive political tasks for the last six months of 2025.

Based on this experience, the Party Committees will ensure smooth and effective official operations from July 1st onwards. This conference was one of the five contents of the pilot test for the new wards and communes.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the six wards and communes organized the first conference of the term (2025-2030). The Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees in these units passed decisions on the establishment of the Ward/Commune Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees, recognition of members and the Standing Committee, draft regulations on the operation of the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the term 2025-2030, and proposed coordination and unified action programs for the last six months of 2025.

With a sense of responsibility, democracy, and solidarity, the conference discussed and passed the regulations on the operation of the Ward/Commune Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the coordination and unified action program for the last six months of 2025.

The conference agreed to enhance the role of social supervision and criticism, promote the spirit of great national unity, take care of social security, and actively participate in building a strong government.

In the afternoon, the localities piloted the two-level local government and Public Administration Center operations. The reception and processing of people’s dossiers on the new ward/commune data system were smoothly and swiftly handled by the operating officers.

On June 21st, Mr. Thieu Huong from Hoa Vang Commune (newly merged) went to the People’s Committee of Hoa Vang Commune to complete some procedures. He expressed his agreement and support for the Central’s plan to reorganize the local two-level government apparatus. He believes that streamlining the apparatus will better serve the people, meet their needs and aspirations, and open up new opportunities for Da Nang and the country to develop better in the coming years.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Secretary of the Party Committee of the new Tien Phuoc Commune, said that the Party Committee organized a pilot of activities, including the first conference of the Commune Party Executive Committee, which is crucial for streamlining the organization, unifying directions, and determining the political tasks of the commune in the coming time. The entire Party Committee of Tien Phuoc Commune will strive to keep up and successfully fulfill the tasks of the new commune’s Party Committee and government.

Ms. Mai Thi Anh Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the new Ngu Hanh Son Ward, shared that on the first day of the pilot operation, all ward officials and employees worked together harmoniously and performed their assigned tasks well. Although this is a new model, the staff of Ngu Hanh Son Ward are united in their determination to ensure smooth and effective services to the people.

The pilot operations in these six wards and communes are expected to last until June 23rd. Afterward, the Steering Committee for the reorganization and integration of administrative units in Quang Nam and Da Nang provinces will draw lessons and replicate the model to all other wards and communes.
