
On the morning of June 27th, the National Assembly passed a resolution on piloting several mechanisms and special policies for the development of Hai Phong city, consisting of 12 articles, which will take effect from July 1st, 2025.
The National Assembly also passed a resolution on the policy approval for the investment project to build the Quy Nhon-Pleiku expressway.
The project’s estimated land requirement is 942.15 hectares, and the preliminary total investment is estimated at VND 43,734 billion. The capital source is from the state budget, including surplus and savings from the state budget in 2024, and the central and local budgets for the periods of 2021-2025 and 2026-2030. The project is expected to start in 2025 and be completed and put into operation by 2029.
The National Assembly also passed the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Trade Union Law, the Youth Law, and the Law on the Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots Level; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 11 laws on military and defense; and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Implementing a New Mechanism: Legislating 18 Policies for Railway Development
The amended Railway Law reforms 18 mechanisms and policies to ensure a breakthrough in the development of the railway system. It also supplements the monitoring mechanism to guarantee the effective implementation of these policies.
