With the aim of improving water quality and restoring the flow of To Lich River,
the dam construction project has taken shape after more than four months of
implementation. According to the plan, it is expected to be completed by Q3
2025 in preparation for water replenishment from the Red River.

After more than four months of construction, the project has completed the
installation work near Quang Bridge (Thanh Liet commune, Thanh Tri district).

The construction site of the first water retention dam near Quang Bridge (Thanh Liet
commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi) has entered the final stage after more than
four months of continuous construction. The main items such as foundation, water
barrier system, and architectural works have been basically completed.

The dam not only serves as a technical solution to maintain a stable water level
in To Lich River all year round but also regulates the flow and improves water
quality through water replenishment from the Red River. The dam consists of two
water barrier layers and an observation deck.

The spillway structure at Quang Bridge area includes two water retention dams
with an observation deck featuring a unique design.

Notably, the above-water part of the dam is designed with traditional elements,
featuring conical roofs, classical patterns, and elegant colors. The viewing
platform on the dam serves as a cultural highlight in the heart of the modern
city, creating a new public space for residents.

According to the plan, there will be a total of three dams built on To Lich River
at the following locations: Quang Bridge (Thanh Tri district), Cot Bridge (Cau
Giay district), and Dau Bridge (Hoang Mai district). These three points divide the
more-than-14-kilometer river into shorter sections, effectively controlling
water resources and reducing pollution.

The architecture of the structure, as seen from the roof, is octagonal.

In addition to the spillway dam at Quang Bridge, two other dams will be built
at Dau Bridge (Linh Dam, Hoang Mai district) and Cot Bridge (Yen Hoa
ward, Cau Giay district). Upon completion, the dam system is expected to
contribute to improving the water quality of To Lich River.

Among the three dams, the spillway structure at Quang Bridge is the first to
be constructed, and the construction units have basically completed the
installation work.

After completing the construction of the two shore barrier walls and the
observation deck, the construction units are now pouring concrete to create
shore barriers and prevent landslides on both sides of the river.
