Vietnam Airlines Planes Collide at Noi Bai International Airport

According to a statement released by Vietnam Airlines on June 27th, a collision occurred between two of its planes at Noi Bai International Airport. The incident took place while one of the planes, with the flight number VN-A863, was taxiing to the runway for its scheduled departure to Ho Chi Minh City.

During the taxiing process, the wing of VN-A863 made contact with the tail of another Vietnam Airlines plane, VN-A338, which was stationary at the time, preparing for its own flight, VN1804, bound for Dien Bien.

Following the incident, airport authorities promptly implemented emergency procedures to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. All passengers from both flights were provided alternative travel arrangements to continue their journeys.

An investigation into the cause of the collision is currently underway, with relevant authorities working closely with involved parties to gather more information.
