The project, with a length of over 73.6 km, a designed speed of 100 km/h, and a total investment of up to VND 17,718 billion, is the final piece in the expressway network connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat.
Implemented in the form of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), the project is invested by a consortium consisting of T&T Infrastructure Development and Investment Company, FUTA Group, and Phuong Thanh Traffic Infrastructure Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, with a contract value of over VND 11,923 billion and an expected construction period of 30 months. The starting point of the route is located in Loc Phat Ward, Bao Loc City, and the end point connects with the Lien Khuong – Prenn Expressway at Hiep Thanh Commune, Duc Trong District.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh stated that this project is a strategic piece, completing the Dau Giay – Lien Khuong Expressway and forming a modern transportation system, directly connecting the key economic region of the South with the Central Highlands.
This route will not only help solve the traffic congestion at National Highway 20 but also activate the effectiveness of completed expressway sections such as Dau Giay – Tan Phu, Tan Phu – Bao Loc, creating a hundred-kilometer-long economic development corridor.
Beyond mere transportation, the project holds the promise of reshaping the development landscape of Lam Dong and its surrounding areas. Upon completion, the expressway will reduce travel time between famous tourist destinations such as Da Lat and Bao Loc; connect high-tech agricultural production centers in Di Linh and Duc Trong; and facilitate the development of satellite cities and logistics centers associated with Lien Khuong International Airport.
“This is a prelude to the take-off of Da Lat – Lam Dong tourism, attracting high-quality tourists and linking high-tech agricultural products of Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Duc Trong directly to large domestic and international markets,” said Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh.

Emphasizing the project’s special role, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the current and post-merger Lam Dong authorities consider this a key political task. The liberation of the entire 610-hectare project site must be carried out decisively, along with ensuring resettlement and stable livelihoods for affected people, with the principle of “equal or better than the old place.” The government also asked relevant ministries and sectors to coordinate closely and not let procedural problems affect the project’s progress.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Doan Tuan Anh, Chairman of the Board of Members of T&T Infrastructure Development and Investment Company, representing the investor consortium, committed to mobilizing maximum human resources, financial resources, and modern equipment to ensure the project’s progress, quality, smart operation, and environmental friendliness. The project aims not only at efficient infrastructure exploitation but also at developing a service ecosystem and attracting secondary investment in tandem with the province.
Once completed, the Bao Loc – Lien Khuong Expressway will not just be a road connecting localities but also a driving force for the Central Highlands to take off, turning infrastructure into a real lever for synchronous and sustainable development.
