Ninh Binh’s tourism sector has seen impressive growth in the first half of 2025, with a focus on digital transformation and heritage conservation.

On June 26, the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism reported remarkable achievements in the first six months of 2025. The department provided feedback on over 100 documents related to construction projects, draft plans, and resolutions. They also developed a master plan for the conservation, restoration, and promotion of the Tràng An – Tam Cốc – Bích Động Special National Site. Additionally, they collaborated on a project to assess the economic value of the Tràng An Landscape Complex and created a map to identify and address potential geological changes within the heritage site.

The department effectively maintained promotional activities on their websites, offering information in Vietnamese, English, and French, and actively engaged with audiences on social media platforms, including Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok, and Twitter. These efforts attracted over 12.5 million visitors to their online platforms.

Ninh Binh continues to embrace digital transformation in tourism, utilizing technology to introduce and promote the region’s attractions and heritage sites.

In the first half of 2025, Ninh Binh estimated a remarkable 7.2 million tourist arrivals, a 19% increase compared to the same period last year. This included 6.26 million domestic visitors and 1.02 million international tourists. Revenue is estimated at VND 7,715 billion, a 32% increase year-on-year.

Looking ahead to the next six months of 2025, the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism will focus on key tasks, including closely monitoring tourism businesses to ensure security, environmental sanitation, and tourism civility. They will also develop plans to receive and collaborate with international experts on assessing the conservation status of the province’s heritage sites as advised by UNESCO. This will involve consulting on the management, conservation, and promotion of the cultural and natural values of the Tràng An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
