Vietnam Stock Market Review: Week of June 23-27
The Vietnamese stock market witnessed another notable week of trading from June 23-27, building on the previous week’s positive performance and breaking through short-term peak prices. The VN-Index continued its upward trajectory, aiming for the 1,370-point level. Blue-chip stocks took turns supporting the index throughout the week. While the trading volume decreased and remained low, indicating investors’ cautious sentiment at these new index levels.
At the end of the week, the VN-Index gained 22.09 points (+1.64%) compared to the previous week, closing at 1,371.44.

In the context of this dynamic market, foreign investment flows were relatively mixed. While foreign investors were net buyers at the beginning of the week, they turned into net sellers later on. Cumulatively, foreign investors sold a net amount of VND 367 billion on all exchanges during the week.
Breaking down the performance by exchange, foreign investors sold a net amount of VND 39 billion on HoSE, VND 269 billion on HNX, and VND 59 billion on UPCoM.
Analyzing the individual stock performance, PVS stood out as the most notable stock sold by foreign investors, with a net selling value of nearly VND 249 billion. FPT and STB also experienced net selling of VND 219 billion and VND 212 billion, respectively. VCB was another stock that faced net selling pressure, with foreign investors selling a net amount of nearly VND 179 billion. The list of stocks sold by foreign investors during the week also included ACB, VPB, SHB, VCI, HCM, and GMD, all recording net selling values of over VND 100 billion.

On the other hand, VND emerged as the stock with the highest net buying value by foreign investors, attracting VND 396 billion. SSI and HPG also witnessed strong foreign investment inflows, with net buying values of VND 368 billion and VND 281.5 billion, respectively, during the week. Other stocks that saw net buying during the week included VHM, CTG, MWG, MSN, CTR, and DBC.
