Previously, the Inspection Team of the Food Safety Authority conducted an impromptu inspection of A-M Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Commercial Development Company, located in Khuong Mai Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.

This company is the trader responsible for the health protection product An Vi Moc Linh, as stated in the Registration Certificate for Product Declaration No. 6160/2021/ĐKSP dated July 6, 2021.

The product is manufactured by Bao Nguyen Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Dong Van I Industrial Park, Ha Nam Province).

However, at the time of the inspection, the team found no signage, and the product was neither displayed nor sold at this address.

The Food Safety Authority is coordinating with the Hanoi Department of Finance to inspect and handle the case in accordance with the law. The authority continues to advise the public to refrain from consuming the product until a final conclusion is reached.

In late April, residents and garbage collectors in Nguyen Lan Street (Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi) discovered several health protection products, including An Vi Moc Linh, dumped on the sidewalk.

The packaging indicated that the products had passed their expiration date and were meant to support reduced acid reflux, protect the stomach lining, and alleviate symptoms such as bloating and belching.

The packaging also stated that A-M Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Commercial Development Company was responsible for distribution, while Bao Nguyen Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company was the manufacturer.

According to the Food Safety Authority, during the peak month from May 17 to June 17, which focused on combating smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement, they formed 5 inspection teams in 5 provinces/cities: Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Dong Nai, Nam Dinh, and Hanoi.

Out of 17 inspected facilities producing and trading functional foods, one facility was found to be in violation of labeling regulations, two facilities were in violation of advertising regulations, and one facility was in violation of four regulations related to production and business conditions.

Additionally, four food business facilities were found to be inactive at their registered addresses. The Authority has sent documents to the provincial/municipal Department of Finance requesting handling in accordance with regulations.
