In Thanh Hoa province, on June 24, the provincial police published a list of 208 traffic violations regarding speeding on National Highways, serving as a notification for “penalties after the fact.” These violations were detected through technical means from June 1 to June 15.

According to the Thanh Hoa police, after receiving the notification, vehicle owners, organizations, and individuals based on their registered address on the vehicle registration, should contact the following locations: the One-Door Service of the provincial police; the headquarters of the third traffic police team of the provincial traffic police division; or the headquarters of the provincial traffic police division (based on residence) to resolve the issue.

Within 20 days from the date of notification, the violation information will be posted on the website of the Traffic Police Department.

In Thai Binh province, according to a report by the provincial traffic police division, from June 18 to June 24, the traffic police force recorded 169 cases of traffic violations of road traffic order and safety laws that were subject to “penalties after the fact.”

According to Decree 168, the penalty for driving a car at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by 5 km/h – 10 km/h is a fine of VND 800,000 – VND 1,000,000. However, this violation will not result in the vehicle being detained or points deducted from the driver’s license. For driving a car at a speed exceeding the limit by 10 km/h – 20 km/h, the fine is VND 4,000,000 – VND 6,000,000, and 2 points will be deducted from the driver’s license.

For driving a car at a speed exceeding the limit by more than 20 km/h – 35 km/h, the fine is VND 6,000,000 – VND 8,000,000, and 4 points will be deducted. If the car’s speed exceeds the limit by more than 35 km/h, the fine is VND 12,000,000 – VND 14,000,000, and 6 points will be deducted.

Additionally, if a car is driven at a speed exceeding the limit and causes a traffic accident, the fine is VND 20,000,000 – VND 22,000,000, and 10 points will be deducted from the driver’s license.

For those driving motorcycles, scooters, or similar vehicles, the penalty for speeding at 5km/h – 10km/h above the limit is VND 400,000 – VND 600,000; at 10km/h – 20km/h, the fine is VND 800,000 – VND 1,000,000. If the speed exceeds the limit by more than 20km/h, the motorcycle driver will be fined VND 6,000,000 – VND 8,000,000. If the driver of the vehicle exceeds the speed limit and causes a traffic accident, the fine is VND 10,000,000 – VND 14,000,000, and 10 points will be deducted from the driver’s license.
