Many shared that they had been queuing since the afternoon of June 29th, enduring the long wait to ensure they didn’t miss the opportunity to apply for this coveted social housing project. At one point, the crowd became unmanageable, and the investor had to temporarily halt the queue to restore order. Photo: Giang Thanh

By 9 am, the queue had grown significantly, stretching all the way to Ong Ich Khiem Street. Traffic police and local authorities were present to manage traffic flow and maintain order.

Due to the overwhelming number of applicants, the investor started issuing queue numbers. Those with complete applications received a number with their name and an appointment date for submission. Photo: Giang Thanh

Ms. T.T.D.M from Thanh Khe District shared that she had been queuing since noon on June 29th, despite the official announcement stating that applications would be accepted starting June 30th. “I spent the night here, and at one point, it got so chaotic that everyone was dismissed and we had to queue all over again. My queue number is almost 400 now. I’m worried that those who submitted their applications earlier will be prioritized, rendering my efforts wasted,” she expressed her concern.

Another applicant, Ms. N.T.T.P from Son Tra District, arrived after 9 am and was near the end of the queue. Seeing the long line, she sighed, unsure when her turn would come. “This queue is just to get a number for submitting the application; I wonder if it will be this crowded on the submission day,” she remarked.

The social housing project in An Trung 2 Residential Area is located in a prime spot in Son Tra District, between the Dragon Bridge and Tran Thi Ly Bridge. It is considered Danang’s most sought-after social housing project, with people flocking to the investor’s office to inquire about procedures and applications. As a result, the investor had to switch from direct guidance to QR code-based application distribution.

The project comprises three high-rise buildings with a total of 957 apartments. Building A has 18 floors, Building B has 15 floors, and Building C has 12 floors. In this phase, 633 apartments are being released to the market, including 288 units in Building A and 345 units in Building B.

The announced selling price is over VND 16.2 million/m2, excluding taxes, fees, and other related charges as stipulated by law. The application period for social housing, as per the announcement by the Department of Construction, is from June 30th to July 22nd.
