The People’s Committee of Nam Dinh Province basically agrees on the proposal to develop transformative and iconic transportation infrastructure to boost the socio-economic development of the new Ninh Binh Province. Regarding the location and scope of the aforementioned projects, several initiatives are already underway in Nam Dinh Province, including the approved project to construct a scenic route connecting Nam Dinh and Hoa Lu, as well as various industrial zones and clusters. The People’s Committee of Nam Dinh Province requests that new investments do not overlap with these existing projects and that infrastructure connectivity between them is carefully considered to maximize the impact of all developments.

The new Ninh Binh Province is formed through the merger of three provinces: Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, and Nam Dinh. The political and administrative center is located in the current city of Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh Province.

Post-merger, the province covers an area of over 3,942 square kilometers with a population of more than 4.4 million people. It comprises 129 communal-level administrative units, including 97 communes and 32 wards.
