Vietnam Airports Corporation Announces Bid Results for Package 7.8a of Long Thanh International Airport Component Project 3
Vietnam Airports Corporation – JSC has announced the results of the bidding selection for Package 7.8a under Component Project 3 of the essential works in phase 1 of the Long Thanh International Airport project.
The HANTA Joint Venture, comprising Hanoi Construction Corporation – JSC (Hancorp), ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company, and Metal Structure and Petroleum Equipment Installation Joint Stock Company, has won the bid with a price of over VND 604 billion, with a contract duration of 240 days from the commencement date.
This package involves the construction of piles for Cargo Terminal No. 1 and the construction and installation of equipment for the remaining auxiliary works.
Hancorp, a veteran enterprise with over half a century of experience in executing key projects, is the main force in the recently announced winning consortium. The company has left its mark on iconic projects such as the National Assembly House, the National Convention Center, and the Hanoi Opera House.
According to statistical data, Hancorp has won 21 packages with various investors. However, this package marks their first victory in 2025. In the previous year, 2024, Hancorp won only 2 out of 6 packages they participated in, a decrease compared to 2023 when the company achieved a 100% success rate by winning all 5 packages they bid for.
In the field of aviation infrastructure, Hancorp was one of the six contractors in the joint venture that constructed the Tan Son Nhat T3 Passenger Terminal – a construction and equipment package worth nearly VND 9,000 billion. This project was inaugurated two months ahead of schedule in April 2024, but soon after its operation, several defects surfaced. Heavy rains caused water leakage from the glass roof into the check-in hall, along with gaps in the floor that affected aesthetics and passenger experience.
