Authorities discovered thousands of items of clothing counterfeit famous foreign brands
According to the Hanoi Police, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency has decided to prosecute and initiate legal proceedings against Nguyen Van Quang (born in 1994, permanent residence in Ngoc Thien, Tan Yen, Bac Giang) for the crime of infringement of industrial property rights.
Previously, the Economic Police Department of Hanoi City Police detected signs of trading in counterfeit goods of famous brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Puma in large quantities at a warehouse located at 99 Phan Ba Vanh Lane, Co Nhue 1 Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, owned by Nguyen Van Quang.
On June 12, 2025, the Economic Police Department, in coordination with the 22nd Market Management Team of the Hanoi Market Management Agency, inspected the above address and discovered 35,300 sets of sportswear counterfeit Nike, Adidas, and Puma brands, with a total value of over VND 6.6 billion.
Based on the collected evidence, on June 26, 2025, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency decided to prosecute and initiate legal proceedings against Nguyen Van Quang for the crime of infringement of industrial property rights.
The Economic Police Department is continuing to investigate and process the case in accordance with regulations.
