The Hanoi People’s Committee has decided to allocate approximately 1,328 sq. m of land at 22 Lieu Giai Street, Cong Vi Ward, Ba Dinh District, to Vietnam-Australia Real Estate Investment and Trading JSC (referred to as Vietnam-Australia Real Estate) for the implementation of the renovation and reconstruction project of the Vietnam Film Institute’s residential area – The Boulevard.

This site has completed compensation, support relocation, temporary residence, and resettlement procedures.

The Hanoi People’s Committee requires Vietnam-Australia Real Estate to be responsible for coordinating with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to receive the handover of landmarks on maps and in the field; register for land use rights and ownership, and obtain construction permits from the Department of Construction.

According to Tien Phong newspaper’s reporters, the land lot at 22 Lieu Giai Street, intended for the renovation and reconstruction of the Vietnam Film Institute’s residential area – The Boulevard, enjoys a prime location with two frontages adjacent to Lieu Giai and Kim Ma Thuong streets.

This is considered a “golden land” in the capital, located near the towering Lotte Center and just 1 km from West Lake.

The site has completed land clearance and is now fully enclosed by fencing.

Previously, in 2018, the Hanoi People’s Committee approved the investor for the project and, in principle, agreed on the compensation, support, temporary residence, and resettlement plan for the renovation and reconstruction project of the Vietnam Film Institute’s residential area – The Boulevard, with Vietnam-Australia Real Estate as the investor. The project was expected to be implemented from Q3 2018 to Q2 2020.

However, after 7 years, the project has not yet commenced construction and the site remains vacant.

The 22 Lieu Giai project has been approved for reconstruction with 25 floors above ground, 3 basement levels, and a population scale of 280 people. The land use function includes residential, public service, office, and hotel areas, with a construction density of approximately 63%.
