After multiple price adjustments, the iPhone 16 series has seen significant price drops in Vietnam, now up to 10-20% lower than its launch price, making it one of the most affordable markets globally. Specifically, the standard version of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is now priced below 30 million VND, while the iPhone 16 Pro has dropped to just over 25 million VND.
Remarkably, with the application of deep discount codes on e-commerce platforms, there are times when the price falls below 23 million VND, a discount of over 20%. With this pricing, Vietnamese users can own the iPhone 16 at a much lower cost compared to neighboring markets such as Thailand or Singapore.

iPhone 16 Pro’s price falls below 23 million VND on Shopee after applying a discount code
The main driving force behind this price war stems from intense competition among sales channels, with e-commerce platforms like Shopee playing a pivotal role by consistently offering deep discount codes, allowing customers to save an additional 2.7-3 million VND. However, online shopping also comes with certain limitations, such as limited memory and color options, customer hesitancy for high-value transactions, and account suspensions due to tightened promotional policies.

iPhone 16 Pro Max’s price has also dropped below 30 million VND at authorized retailers
In parallel, authorized retail systems are also joining the fray. They are implementing promotional programs for payments or trade-in offers to stay competitive. Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representing the CellphoneS system, shared: “The lowest price for the iPhone 16 Pro could reach the 20 million VND mark if customers take advantage of all the available promotions.”
According to experts, the second quarter is typically a slow season for the mobile industry. Being at the end of its product cycle and facing decreased demand post-Tet holiday, retailers and Apple itself have had to introduce stimulus programs to clear inventory for the iPhone 16.
Among the current models, the iPhone 16 Pro is believed to be facing the most significant inventory pressure. In contrast, the Pro Max version maintains stable demand as it is favored by Vietnamese users.
