City Announces Merger of Administrative Units and Introduces New Leadership
On the morning of June 30, the HCMC Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee held a ceremony to announce the National Assembly’s resolutions and decisions on merging administrative units at the provincial and communal levels, terminating the operations of district-level administrative units, and establishing Party organizations and appointing key leaders for the new merged units.
The conference announced the decision of the HCMC Party Committee to establish Party organizations for the 168 merged wards, communes, and special districts. It also announced decisions on the appointment of key personnel to the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Party Secretary, and Deputy Secretary. Additionally, decisions were announced regarding the appointment of the Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Party Inspection Commission, as well as the Chairman, Vice Chairmen, and Heads of Committees of the People’s Council and People’s Committee for the merged wards, communes, and special districts.
