According to the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, the province’s economy has achieved positive results in the first half of the year. Notably, the regional gross domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to have increased by 7.01% compared to the previous year; total social development investment capital reached over VND 37,400 billion (up 15.5%); and state budget revenue exceeded VND 14,750 billion (up 54.9%).
Additionally, the total retail sales of goods and consumption services are estimated at VND 72,500 billion (up 16.2%), and tourism revenue is estimated at over VND 31,000 billion (up 19.1%).
Notably, from the beginning of 2025 until now, Khanh Hoa has attracted 16 non-budget investment projects with a total registered investment capital of approximately VND 298,700 billion.
This includes several large-scale projects such as: The international offshore wind power equipment manufacturing project with an investment capital of over VND 2,340 billion; The Mui Co – Bai Ran Complex with an investment of VND 4,260 billion; The Vung Nan Complex with an investment of over VND 2,850 billion… Especially, the Cam Lam New Urban Area project with a total investment of up to VND 283,300 billion.
It is known that the investor who won the bid for the Cam Lam New Urban Area project is the Cam Lam New Urban Joint Stock Company, consisting of the following enterprises: Vinhomes Joint Stock Company, Phat Dat Real Estate Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, Truong Loc Real Estate Investment and Development Company Limited, Green City Commerce and Construction Joint Stock Company, and Phu Tho Land Joint Stock Company.

The Cam Lam New Urban Area project is located in Cam Lam district, including the following communes and towns: Cam Duc, Cam Hai Dong, Cam Hai Tay, Cam Hoa, Cam An Bac, Cam An Nam, Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam Tan, Suoi Tan, and Cam Thanh Bac. It also includes a part of Cam Ranh city, namely Cam Thanh Nam ward, Cam Phuc Bac ward, and Cam Nghia ward.
The new urban area spans nearly 10,400 hectares, which is approximately 20 times the size of Hoan Kiem District in Hanoi (529 hectares).
The urban area is expected to feature over 58,000 villas and adjacent homes, more than 9,800 apartments, 33,000 social housing units, approximately 58,500 land plots, a 36-hole golf course, and more. The projected population is around 584,000 people.
The project is scheduled to be implemented from 2025 to 2037. The duration of operation is 50 years from the date of the decision on land allocation, land lease, or land use purpose conversion.
Up to now, Khanh Hoa province has also completed the investor selection procedure for 6 large-scale urban area investment projects, including: The high-end Co Ma New Urban Area project (VND 5,970 billion), The Nha Trang City Mixed-Use Urban Area project (VND 17,300 billion), The Cam Tan Complex Urban Area project (VND 5,700 billion), The Cam Thuong Complex Urban Area project (VND 5,700 billion), and The Cam Hoa Complex Urban Area project (VND 5,240 billion)…
