According to the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, the province’s economy has achieved positive results in the first half of the year. Notably, the regional gross domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to have increased by 7.01% compared to the previous year; total social investment capital reached over VND 37,400 billion (up 15.5%); and state budget revenue surpassed VND 14,750 billion (a 54.9% increase).
Additionally, the total retail sales of goods and consumer services are estimated at VND 72,500 billion (up 16.2%), while tourism revenue is estimated at over VND 31,000 billion (up 19.1%).
Notably, from the beginning of 2025 until now, Khanh Hoa has attracted 16 non-budget investment projects with a total registered capital of approximately VND 298,700 billion.
Some of the large-scale projects include: An international offshore wind power equipment manufacturing project with an investment of over VND 2,340 billion; The Mui Co – Bai Ran Complex with an investment of VND 4,260 billion; and The Vung Nan Complex with an investment of over VND 2,850 billion… Especially, the Cam Lam New Urban Area stands out with a total registered investment capital of up to VND 283,300 billion.
The investor who won the bid for the Cam Lam New Urban Area is the Cam Lam New Urban Joint Stock Company, consisting of Vingroup Joint Stock Company, Phat Dat Real Estate Development and Investment Joint Stock Company, Truong Loc Real Estate Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, Green City Commerce and Construction Joint Stock Company, and Phu Tho Land Joint Stock Company.

The Cam Lam New Urban Area project is located in Cam Lam district, covering the communes and towns of Cam Duc, Cam Hai Dong, Cam Hai Tay, Cam Hoa, Cam An Bac, Cam An Nam, Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam Tan, Suoi Tan, and Cam Thanh Bac. It also includes a part of Cam Ranh city, namely Cam Thanh Nam commune, Cam Phuc Bac ward, and Cam Nghia ward.
Spanning nearly 10,400 hectares, the new urban area is approximately 20 times the size of Hoan Kiem District in Hanoi (529 hectares).
The urban area is expected to feature over 58,000 villas and adjacent houses, more than 9,800 apartments, 33,000 social housing units, approximately 58,500 land plots, a 36-hole golf course, and more. The projected population is around 584,000 people.
The project is scheduled for completion between 2025 and 2037. The duration of operation is 50 years from the date of the decision on land allocation, land lease, or land use purpose conversion.
