
Team No. 1 inspects a vehicle transporting 9.1 tons of unidentified clams
According to the Domestic Market Management and Development Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), in response to information about cheap Chinese oysters being consumed in Quang Ninh, causing difficulties for aquaculture farmers, the Quang Ninh Market Management Department has directed Market Management teams to strengthen inspection and control to prevent the transportation and trading of illegal seafood from border areas, and strictly handle violations.
On June 28, Team No. 1 inspected a car with license plate number 22C-078.92, driven by Mr. N.Q.T., born in 1988, from Binh Han, Hai Duong city, Hai Duong province.
The inspection discovered 9.1 tons of clams (11-13 per kg) packed in mesh bags of unknown origin.

9.1 tons of unidentified clams were being transported for domestic consumption
On June 29, authorities inspected a car with license plate number 34C-076.44, driven by Mr. N.V.M., born in 1991, from Po Ma, Xuat Le commune, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province. The vehicle was transporting over 7.6 tons of unidentified milk oysters (10-12 per kg)
According to the authorities, all the goods were purchased near the border without invoices, documents, or legal papers. They were packed in baskets and mesh bags for transportation and domestic consumption.

Team No. 1 is completing the dossier and handling the case in accordance with the law.
The Quang Ninh Market Management Department will continue to intensify inspections to prevent smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeit goods, intellectual property infringement, and food of unknown origin.
