Vingroup’s consolidated financial report for Q2 2025 (stock code VIC) revealed that in the first half of this year, Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of the Group, sponsored VinFast with VND 23,000 billion.

Previously, the Q1/2025 report recorded a VND 5,000 billion sponsorship from Mr. Vuong. Thus, in Q2 2025, his sponsorship for VinFast amounted to VND 18,000 billion.

Vingroup’s other income also noted a significant spike of VND 18,460 billion, largely contributing to the Group’s after-tax profit of VND 2,265 billion, a 215% surge compared to Q2 2024.

In 2023 and 2024, Pham Nhat Vuong sponsored VinFast with VND 18,980 billion and VND 8,277 billion, respectively. As of June 30, 2025, he has sponsored a total of VND 50,257 billion.

Mr. Vuong first mentioned his commitment to investing USD 1 billion of his personal funds into VinFast in April 2023. Within a year, this amount was fully disbursed, and at the Vingroup’s annual general meeting of shareholders in April 2024, Mr. Vuong announced that after this initial investment, he would continue to arrange his assets to further invest a minimum of USD 1 billion in VinFast.

On November 12, 2024, Vingroup and Pham Nhat Vuong officially announced their financial support for VinFast. Accordingly, by the end of 2026, Vingroup plans to provide VinFast with new loans of up to VND 35,000 billion, and Pham Nhat Vuong committed to sponsoring VinFast with VND 50,000 billion.

Thus, from Q4 2024 to the present, including the VND 5,000 billion disbursed in Q4 2024 and the amount disbursed in the first half of 2025, Mr. Vuong has disbursed VND 28,000 billion out of the committed VND 50,000 billion sponsorship.

As the CEO and major shareholder of VinFast, the VND 50,000 billion sponsorship is arranged from Mr. Vuong’s personal assets, ensuring no impact on the interests of Vingroup and VinFast shareholders.
