The construction of Tra Khuc 1 Bridge, a significant infrastructure project in Quang Ngai province, is currently underway.
The Tra Khuc 1 Bridge, with a total investment of VND 2,199 billion from the provincial budget, is expected to be completed between 2025 and 2027. The bridge, designed using steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete, will be a special-grade structure with a length of over 577 meters and a width of 28 meters.
With a design load of HL 93, the main span of the suspension bridge will be approximately 522 meters long. The approach roads on both ends of the bridge are designed as major urban roads with a speed limit of 60 km/h. The northern approach road will connect to a roundabout at the intersection of Tran Van Tra, Hoang Sa, Nguyen Van Linh, and Te Hanh roads, while the southern approach road will vary in width from 28 to 44 meters, connecting to another roundabout at Quang Trung, Ba Trieu, and Hai Ba Trung streets.
To facilitate smooth traffic flow, a tunnel will be constructed at the intersection with Ton Duc Thang Street, with traffic control measures such as road markings and signage in place.
The Ton Duc Thang tunnel will have a width of 11.5 meters, including 0.5-meter thick walls on each side, and a clearance height of 3.5 meters. It will be constructed using reinforced concrete. The Tra Khuc 1 Bridge project aims to improve the transportation network in Quang Ngai province, enhancing connectivity and providing a vital link between the northern gateway and the provincial urban center across the Tra Khuc River.
