Recently, the railway industry has announced that many promotions of up to 30% off tickets will be applied to customers after Tet holiday. Specifically, for the Thong Nhat SE3/4, SE7/8 trains (Saigon – Hanoi) when purchasing tickets with a transport distance of over 900 km; SE21/22 train (Saigon – Danang) with a transport distance of over 600 km; SNT1/2 train (Saigon – Nha Trang) with a transport distance of over 300 km; and pre-purchased tickets with a departure date from 5 days or more will be discounted from 5% to 30% off the ticket price (excluding the bed tickets for SE3, SNT1/2 trains).
For the SPT1/2 train, passengers who purchase tickets for the Saigon – Phan Thiet route and pre-purchase tickets with a departure date of 10 days or more will be discounted 10% off the ticket price (excluding the bed tickets for the 4-bed cabin). When changing or returning tickets, there will be a discount of 10% – 30% off the ticket price.
Customers who purchase group tickets with a quantity of 5 or more will receive a discount of 2% to 14% off the ticket price; customers who purchase round-trip tickets will receive a 10% discount on the return trip. It is encouraged for groups to purchase large quantities of tickets or the entire train, the company will arrange special trains with the requested departure and arrival times and agreed upon prices.
The company still applies discounts for social policy beneficiaries such as Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, victims of chemical toxins, severe disabilities, elderly people, children, students, trade union members, and customers with customer cards.
In addition, Vietnam Railways Corporation has adjusted the train schedule (attached train timetable), including daily running of Thong Nhat trains: SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8 between Saigon – Hanoi; In the southern area, Saigon Railways Transport Joint Stock Company organizes the running of trains: SE21/22 between Saigon – Danang, SNT1/2 between Saigon – Nha Trang, and SPT1/2 between Saigon – Phan Thiet. If the number of passengers increases, the company will organize additional train sets to serve the maximum demand of passengers.
