In 2023, THACO KIA was chosen by the KIA Group to be the partner in training the manufacturing process and supporting the production of the Kia Sonet car for ADM – Uzbekistan. After 4 training courses on production process and actual assembly line at THACO KIA Plant for over 200 ADM personnel, including managers and technical officers, on February 15th, THACO KIA sent staff to work at ADM Company in Uzbekistan to directly supervise the production process.
In this support and supervision phase, THACO KIA will monitor and supervise the component welding process, weld quality, and body accuracy; the process of sealing with adhesive, paint finishing of the body; the process of assembling components; evaluating the assembly of finished car models to meet the technical requirements and global quality standards of KIA Group. At the same time, THACO KIA engineers will also share error handling methods after each stage, actively support the technical team of managers, engineers, and technicians of ADM Company to complete the project on schedule.
Previously, on February 7th, 2024, THACO AUTO also organized a meeting for THACO KIA Plant personnel participating in production supervision at ADM Company in Uzbekistan. Speaking at the event, Mr. Doan Dat Ninh – Deputy General Director of THACO AUTO Production Department shared his experience in foreign assignments, cultural integration, and hoped that the personnel would raise their responsibilities, comply with THACO’s code of conduct, and leverage their intelligence and capabilities to fulfill their duties, contributing to the building of THACO’s image and brand.
THACO KIA’s participation in supervising the production of Kia cars for partners affirms the capabilities, expertise, and skills of THACO KIA engineers and technical officers in particular, and THACO AUTO Group in general. Through learning, accumulating core technology, the THACO KIA team has mastered the production process, quality verification, thereby making positive contributions to the technology transfer activities of the KIA Group.
