Premier League Football Club Manchester City is releasing a new collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), giving fans the chance to win exclusive shirts and matchday experiences.
The campaign, called ‘Cityzens Invisible Form’, is part of a partnership with cryptocurrency exchange OKX. Users can mint the digital collectibles on the OKX app, with the chance to own redesigned football shirts based on the rarity of the NFT.
Haider Rafique and Man City’s director of marketing and fan experience, Nuria Tarré to discuss the details of the new campaign.
Shirts in the limited-edition collection feature a design that combines the Lancashire rose and the Manchester worker bee, hand-drawn by artist Christian Jeffery.
Rafique explained that the rarity of the NFT is determined by an algorithm. Five ultra-rare NFTs will grant access to on-pitch matchday experiences, two tickets to a Manchester City game, and a limited-edition Man City shirt.
Another five rare NFTs include a stadium tour, hotel accommodation and the ‘The Roses and the Bees’ design shirt. OKX users are able to mint the NFTs for free on the OKX Marketplace.
