On the afternoon of April 24, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh and delegates of the National Assembly belonging to constituency No. 10 met with voters of Soc Son district before the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Speaking at the conference, voters proposed accelerating the progress of transportation projects in Soc Son district; addressing environmental pollution and the living policies for people around the Nam Son waste treatment area; and completing the planning of Soc Son forest as soon as possible to stabilize people’s lives.
In particular, voters of Soc Son district reflected on the difficulties and obstacles when living in the planning area for Noi Bai International Airport but delayed for many years.
According to voter Nguyen Thanh Cong (Mai Dinh commune), since 2019, there has been a policy to adjust the planning of Noi Bai International Airport. However, up to now, the project has not been implemented, causing many difficulties in people’s lives. Construction works in the area planned to expand the airport are not approved, affecting the granting of land use right certificates to people in Mai Dinh commune.
“Currently, there are 500 families with the need for land use right certificates, but many years have not been able to be implemented due to the adjustment of the planning of Noi Bai International Airport. The National Assembly delegation should propose to the Government to soon approve the planning, set boundary markers, and ensure the rights of the people” – voter Cong proposed.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh thanked the voters for sharing, understanding, and sympathizing with the efforts of the city’s political system to develop the socio-economy, ensure social security with many comprehensive results. In 2023, Hanoi’s GRDP was higher than the national average, with budget revenue of over 400 trillion VND.
“Hanoi collects the lowest from the people, spends the highest for the people. Hanoi’s support policies for people are always higher than the central level” – said the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee.
Regarding the difficulties of voters living in the planning area of ​​Noi Bai International Airport, according to the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, with the project delayed and the planning suspended for many years, it is necessary to solve the procedures to ensure living conditions for the people.
With projects for national interests, people all agree. Therefore, if people have land left by their ancestors and “cannot build, cannot sell, cannot borrow from the bank”, it is very difficult. “The Department of Natural Resources and Environment must work with the district to review policies and ensure the legitimate rights of the people” – Hanoi Chairman Tran Sy Thanh requested.
Regarding the issue of transportation, the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee said that he had directed units to review and would soon report to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to establish a list of projects that need investment for the new term in terms of transportation and dikes. In which, focusing on inter-city and inter-regional transportation.
Chairman Tran Sy Thanh affirmed to the voters that the city is very concerned about waste treatment, listening to voters’ opinions for appropriate policies. For areas within a radius of 500m around the Nam Son waste treatment area, the Chairman of the People’s Committee requested that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Soc Son district urgently speed up the progress; and promptly deploy another waste treatment plant in this area.
Regarding the planning of Soc Son forest, the Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee asked the district to speed up the progress so that the city could approve it because “the ball is at the feet of Soc Son district”.
