These two limited-edition pocket spring mattress lines are the exclusive “order” for Vietnamese by Vo Mau Quoc Trien – Chairman of Rita Vo.

“Post-Covid-19, I noticed a rising demand for health-related investments among the population. For instance, we’ve been selling a lot of the premium Simmons Lotus mattress, retailing at almost 200 million VND each. The company has also sold thousands of Kohler smart toilets.”

“To meet the health needs of a larger Vietnamese population, Rita Vo decided to commission Simmons to produce the Simmons Beautyrest® Hasu and Simmons Beautyrest® Sakura lines – 100% Made in Japan – at a more accessible price point of around 30-40 million VND per mattress,” shared Mr. Trien.

Simmons Japan was established as a branch of Simmons USA in 1964, the year of the Tokyo Summer Olympics. In 1987, Simmons Japan officially became an independent company, separate from its American counterpart. Since then, Simmons Japan has thrived, manufacturing and exporting Simmons made-in-Japan mattresses to 23 Asian countries. Today, Simmons Japan serves as the regional headquarters for Southeast Asia and Asia as a whole.

With a mission to provide comfortable sleep to consumers in the region, Simmons entered the Vietnamese market in 2013 through its exclusive partner, the Rita Vo Group – a leading distributor of high-end building materials and furniture in Vietnam. This close collaboration has propelled the Simmons brand to remarkable success, gaining widespread recognition and trust among Vietnamese customers.

From the perspective of Simmons’ representative, Vietnam is a promising market with a young demographic. Simmons believes that young consumers will invest for the long term, opting for mattresses that offer not just short-term comfort but also long-lasting quality that promotes good health.

The Simmons Beautyrest® Hasu pocket spring mattress is designed with Simmons’ exclusive pocket spring technology, allowing users to sleep soundly without disturbance from their partner’s movements. Compared to standard mattresses with only 5 turns, the Simmons Beautyrest® Hasu and Sakura feature 7 turns, creating the sensation of being supported by seven people. With a 40% compression rate, these mattresses provide a more comfortable and restful sleep experience.

Additionally, the mattress is crafted with Simmons’ exclusive pocket spring structure and a Pillow-top layer for a soft and cozy feel. The Tight Top surface provides optimal support for a comfortable and relaxing night’s sleep. Like the lotus (Hasu), a symbol of elegance and strength, the Simmons Beautyrest® Hasu is equipped with high-quality springs to ensure long-lasting durability.

“Rita Vo’s principle in working with partners is that 90% of the time, the larger label produces, and Rita Vo exclusively distributes. This demonstrates my gratitude to the Vietnamese consumer market and my aspiration to bring the best products to our country,” emphasized Mr. Trien.

Currently, Simmons mattresses are trusted and used by over 80% of the world’s leading hotel management groups and luxury hotels, including Ritz Carlton, Westin, Shangri La, Four Season, and Raffles.
