Sacombank has officially adopted a digital platform for its business processes across all of its over 550 branches nationwide. This platform, developed in collaboration with UNIT Corporation, was piloted in 15 branches before its official launch in April 2023. It aims to transform most manual operations into automated ones, reducing data errors and transaction time while offering fresh service experiences to users.
Previously, without a digital platform, interactions between bank staff and customers were mostly manual and paper-based. Now, when a customer visits a branch, their information is entered into a standardized form on the system. The customer only needs to review and approve once, instead of going through multiple steps as before. The information is then sent to the relevant department, and the automated process quickly and accurately handles the customer’s request. Within seconds, the teller can check the result, approve, and digitally sign the transaction.
Mr. Tran Thai Binh, Director of Sacombank’s Digital Banking Division, shared, “With this platform, Sacombank has reduced transaction completion time by over 60% compared to before, lowered operating costs per transaction, and improved our ability to serve customers diligently. Notably, the new technology helps Sacombank reduce a significant amount of printed documents and storage, contributing to a greener society – one of our important criteria in our sustainability commitment.”
As of June 2024, Sacombank and UNIT have completed the phase of building a technology platform adapted to the existing architecture, continuously developing, integrating, operating, and expanding the system. Moving forward, the two parties will continue their collaboration to develop subsequent phases of the project, aiming to enhance competitiveness, upgrade services, and deliver the best digital experience to customers.

The product helps businesses automate their processes and digitize their forms. Through outstanding efforts, Sacombank has built an ecosystem of diverse products and services, serving 18 million customers with 8.9 million online users, a 19.8% increase. The number of successful digital transactions reached 508 million, a 51% increase, and the customer satisfaction rate exceeded 99%.

Continuing this momentum, the bank has garnered more achievements in digital transformation this year, recognized through the “Most Innovative Digital Bank in Vietnam 2024” award by IBM. Most recently, on August 8, 2024, Sacombank was honored in the “Outstanding Digital Bank” category at the “Vietnam Outstanding Banking Awards 2024” organized by the International Data Group (IDG) in coordination with the Vietnam Bankers Association (VNBA) and other departments. This is the seventh consecutive year that Sacombank has been highly evaluated by the judging council and customers for its product and service quality, operational results, and contributions to the finance industry and society.
