Shinhan Finance Vietnam Reports Over $95 Million Post-Tax Loss in H1 2024

Shinhan Finance, a prominent financial company in Vietnam, revealed a post-tax loss of over 95 billion VND in the first half of 2024, a significant improvement from the 246 billion VND loss incurred in the same period last year.

In its report to the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), Shinhan Finance posted a loss of over 95 billion VND in the first half of 2024, compared to a loss of over 246 billion VND in the same period last year.

As of June 30, 2024, the company’s equity stood at 2.367 trillion VND. The return on equity (ROE) was negative 7.9%.

The debt-to-equity ratio was 3.43, while the bond debt-to-equity ratio reached 0.42.

The regulatory capital adequacy ratio was 22.4%.
