“Petrolimex Donates 12 Billion VND to Aid Flood Relief Efforts in the Wake of Storm Yagi”

In light of the devastating impact of Storm No. 3 (Yagi) and prolonged flooding in recent days on the people and property of several northern provinces, the Vietnam Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) has swiftly responded with substantial support. Within just two days, on September 9-10, 2024, the group donated a total of VND 12 billion to the affected organizations and localities. Demonstrating their strong commitment to social responsibility, Petrolimex will further encourage its 30,000 employees to contribute and extend assistance to these affected areas.

On the morning of September 11, 2024, the Party Committee, Board of Directors, Board of Management, and Vietnam Petroleum Labor Union organized a campaign to call on Petrolimex employees to donate and support those affected by the recent storm Yagi and floods in the northern provinces of Vietnam. The donations will be sent to individuals, organizations, and localities impacted by the natural disasters to help alleviate their difficulties and strengthen their resilience.

In the afternoon of September 10, 2024, Petrolimex responded to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front by donating 5 billion VND to support people affected by Storm Yagi.

On the same day, in Yen Bai province, representatives from Petrolimex handed over a donation of 2 billion VND to the Yen Bai Province Relief Fund to help the locality overcome the consequences of the natural disaster.

As part of this support program, Petrolimex also allocated a budget of 3 billion VND to support people in Son La province and 2 billion VND to support people in Cao Bang province.

Petrolimex shared that with the timely guidance of the Party Committee of Central Enterprises, the National Assembly Delegation at Enterprises, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport (Vietnam Maritime Administration, Quang Ninh Maritime Administration), and the coordination of the Vietnam Electricity Group, Quang Ninh Electricity Company, and other related parties, difficulties were overcome, ensuring a stable supply of gasoline and oil to meet the needs of the people during the natural disaster.
