The Prime Minister inspected and encouraged the forces responding to the floods, taking part in rescue and relief efforts, and providing essential supplies to those affected by the natural disaster.

The Prime Minister inquired about and encouraged the households in the flooded area, sharing their difficulties and hoping that people would focus on recovery to return to their homes and stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts made in supporting the flooded residents in recent days in Yen Bai. At the same time, he emphasized the need to mobilize forces and focus on addressing the flooded areas to reassure the people.

During the days when Yen Bai City was deeply flooded, the police force did not hesitate to face difficulties and hardships, standing guard 24/7 at various locations. Currently, the units are increasing manpower to support residents in cleaning up the mud and taking people back to their homes to stabilize their lives.

The Prime Minister also encouraged the schools in Hong Ha Ward, Yen Bai City, inquired about the families of the teachers working at the schools, and shared their difficulties. The Prime Minister hopes that the teachers will soon clean up the mud and return to school to ensure the education program for the students.

Anh Duong Kindergarten in Hong Ha Ward, Yen Bai City, is a temporary shelter for families, the elderly, and children whose homes were flooded and are unable to return. The Prime Minister expressed his deep sympathy and hoped that the people would feel reassured and wait until their homes are cleaned up before returning, with the most important priority being safety.

The Prime Minister also hopes that the people will promote the spirit of “mutual love and support” and “helping those in need” to overcome difficulties together.

Emphasizing the priority of the people’s lives, safety, and health above all else, the Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long to continue staying in Yen Bai to directly direct the flood response and decide on related matters. Yen Bai Province and other localities are to proactively come up with plans to evacuate people who may be affected to safe places, along with relevant ministries and agencies, to be ready to respond to all possible worst-case scenarios.

The Prime Minister also requested Yen Bai Province, the military, and the police to coordinate and make every effort to supply food and essential goods to people in isolated areas, taking the initiative and being creative in finding ways to access them, including using helicopters if necessary.
