On the afternoon of 24/09/2024, a press conference was held to launch a journey and a television program called “The Moneyverse,” which blends entertainment and education.

“The Moneyverse” is an immersive journey that blends entertainment and financial education, empowering viewers, including participating university students in Vietnam, with knowledge and skills in personal financial management. The program is based on the concept of five universes: Control, Spend, Save, Invest, and Preserve, aligning with the trends of green and digital finance. It also addresses relevant economic and social issues.

Mr. Pham Luu Hung, Chief Economist and Head of Training and Development at SSI Securities Corporation, emphasized that financial education for young people is a top priority for market development. Financial literacy is no longer an optional subject; instead, it has become an essential life skill in today’s world.

Market development encompasses not only upgrading the market from a frontier to an emerging one but also enhancing the investor base and elevating investors from F0 to professional levels.

These activities will benefit both parties. Young people will engage in entertaining financial education activities that combine learning with practical experience. Meanwhile, SSI will have the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the new generation of investors, who represent the future of the market.

“There are no shortcuts in stock investing. However, through these programs, we aim for students to reach their destination via the shortest path rather than taking a roundabout route,” stressed SSI’s Chief Economist.

Associate Professor Dr. Do Hoai Linh, a member of the Moneyverse Professional Council, stated that the 2008 global financial crisis and recession resulted from various factors, including individuals’ limited financial knowledge. This often led to inappropriate investment choices and overspending.

Therefore, personal financial education should start as early as possible. Over time, knowledge transforms into wisdom, and when integrated with experience, it empowers individuals to master their finances. Additionally, Associate Professor Dr. Do Hoai Linh hopes that The Moneyverse will serve as a key to unlocking the world of personal finance for young people.
