The Vertu Signature line, known as the pinnacle of luxury mobile phones, has always held a special place in the hearts of the elite and successful individuals who favor the brand. Even as Vertu introduces newer models that embrace the latest in high-end technology, the Signature series remains a sought-after choice for its exceptional craftsmanship and emotional value.

It’s challenging to distinguish between an authentic Signature device and one of unknown origin from these images.
Recently, Vertu’s luxury phone line has garnered unexpected attention as Vietnam phased out 2G networks. Users of the Signature S model needed to upgrade to the Signature V 4G to maintain connectivity.
Taking advantage of this situation, sellers began advertising Signature S devices of uncertain origin as capable of supporting 4G networks, with prices as low as VND 4-5 million. This has caused confusion among those new to the Vertu brand.
Holding a Signature S device running on 4G that was purchased for a mere few million dong—a stark contrast to the hundreds of millions or even billions of dong that an authentic Signature phone commands, depending on the version—one can easily distinguish it from a genuine Vertu when placed side by side. However, for those well-versed in Vertu, even a photo is enough to spot the differences.

The stark contrast between a genuine Vertu worth hundreds of millions of dong and the sub-VND 5 million version is evident.
In a conversation with Vertu Vietnam, the exclusive distributor and retailer of authentic Vertu devices in Vietnam, their representative shared: “At this point, the manufacturer has not released any information about the Signature S being 4G compatible. These unusually priced Signature devices can be identified by their exterior, including the screen, frame, back cover, and keyboard. Additionally, when booting up, the Vertu logo and sound differ from genuine devices, and the signal bar always displays 4G even without a SIM card.”
“Moreover, these phones are prone to sudden death, and they offer no value in terms of absolute information security, data protection, or digital asset security. Owners of these untraceable devices will not be eligible for the exclusive services offered to Vertu clients, nor will they receive warranty coverage,” they added.

Each Vertu Signature device, whether the S or V 4G model, is a work of art crafted by world-renowned artisans. They bear the artist’s signature and are crafted from the finest and rarest materials. The Signature series is also renowned for its absolute security, with speakers crafted from ceramic to prevent information leakage during calls. Some high-end versions, priced at nearly VND 2 billion, feature a ceramic back, transforming the phone into a piece of luxury jewelry befitting its owner.
