Chairwoman of the SSC Vũ Thị Chân Phương and Chairmain of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) Wu Qing exchanged at the working session

At the working session, Chairwoman of the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC) Vũ Thị Chân Phương shared that the SSC has always valued its cooperative relationship with the CSRC. Since 2005, the two agencies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on bilateral cooperation in the securities field to enhance market information exchange and delegation visits, as well as technical support. Accordingly, the two sides have organized numerous delegation visits, training programs, and experience-sharing initiatives in developing and perfecting the legal framework and securities market supervision activities.

Chairwoman Vũ Thị Chân Phương provided an update on the development of Vietnam’s securities market and noted that, recently, there have been many Chinese securities investors participating in Vietnam’s securities market. The SSC always facilitates the participation of foreign investors, including those from China, in Vietnam’s securities market.

Speaking at the session, Mr. Wu Qing, Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), remarked that the two agencies share not only a long-standing bilateral relationship but also active engagement within the framework of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). He expressed his appreciation for the development of Vietnam’s securities market, stating that it holds great potential for growth in the coming time.

Mr. Wu Qing also observed that the securities regulatory authorities of the two countries have many similarities in terms of organizational structure and regulations in the delegation of market supervision. Therefore, he proposed that the two agencies should have more frequent exchanges to share experiences in managing and supervising the securities market.

To further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two agencies, the Chairwoman of the SSC requested the units to continue reviewing and concretizing the content of bilateral cooperation between the two sides. She also expressed her hope that the CSRC would support and share experiences with the SSC in applying digital transformation in securities market supervision.
