The Tanama Aluminum Company Limited was fined nearly VND 1.8 billion, the highest amount, and was also ordered to suspend the operation of its waste-generating source without an environmental permit for four months and 15 days at the Mẫn Xá traditional craft village industrial cluster, Văn Môn commune, Yên Phong district.

The Tanama Aluminum Company Limited must establish, appraise, and approve investment projects for construction works in accordance with regulations, as well as demolish the illegally constructed works. The company has 10 days from the date of receiving the sanction decision to remedy the consequences, and all costs for organizing the implementation of remedial measures shall be borne by the company.

From November 8 to 21, the provincial inter-sectoral inspection team inspected and worked with Hanaka Joint Stock Company, the infrastructure investor of Mẫn Xá traditional craft village industrial cluster, and 94/94 production establishments within the cluster.

The inspection team detected 776 violations of laws on the environment, fire prevention and control, and rescue, planning, and construction. They issued 99 administrative violation records with a total fine of nearly VND 38.3 billion.

The People’s Committee of Yên Phong district is in the process of completing the dossiers to issue administrative violation handling decisions within its competence.
