The 21st meeting of the 10th-term People’s Council of Dong Nai province for the 2021-2026 term has just passed a resolution to adopt a percentage rate for calculating land rental rates for cases of annual land rental payment without auction, land rental rates for the construction of underground works (not the underground part of the works constructed on the ground), and land rental rates for land areas with water surfaces in Dong Nai province.

Specifically, the rate for communes in the district remains at 1%; for wards in Bien Hoa city and Long Khanh city, it increases from 1% to 1.2%, and for communes in the two cities and towns in the districts, it is 1.1%. For communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and land used as production and business grounds for investment projects in the sector of investment incentives or special investment incentives, the rate is adjusted from 0.75% to 0.5%.

The regulation of the percentage rate for calculating land rental rates, differentiated by region between urban and rural areas, and land used as production and business grounds for investment projects in the sector of investment incentives or special investment incentives, aims to attract investment and create competitiveness in the context of economic difficulties.

The People’s Council of Dong Nai also passed a resolution regulating the fee for land use right certificates, ownership of houses, and other assets attached to the land in Dong Nai province.

Accordingly, the fee is adjusted to increase by 20% compared to the current rate stipulated in Resolution No. 09/2020/NQ-HĐND issued by the Provincial People’s Council in 2020. The resolution also exempts the following subjects from the fee: individuals with revolutionary merits, poor households according to the province’s standards, the elderly, disabled people, and households with severely disabled members.
