There are only five days left until the Anh Trai Vượt Ngàn Chông Gai – Day 2 concert, which will take place at Vinhomes Ocean Park 3 in Hung Yen on December 14th. This music reality TV show has created an incredible buzz, attracting a massive audience and a widespread fan base.
On the first day of ticket sales, November 12th, the event broke records, selling out faster than the first concert in Ho Chi Minh City, which sold out in 90 minutes. All tickets were snapped up just 40 minutes after going on sale, making it the fastest-selling concert ever.
Even now, fans (known as “Gai”) are desperately searching for tickets, scouring internal sales, sponsored tickets, invitations, and even the black market.
The company behind this production is Yeah1 Joint Stock Corporation (stock code: YEG).
Yeah1 has made its mark as the producer of the TV show “Anh Trai Vượt Ngàn Chông Gai,” building on the success of last year’s “Chị Đẹp Đạp Gió.” The show features renowned artists such as Tu Long, Bang Kieu, Tuan Hung, and Soobin Hoang Son. “Anh Trai Vượt Ngàn Chông Gai” has resonated strongly with the community, attracting a host of big-name brands as sponsors.
According to Yeah1, beyond the business aspect, the show and the concert are part of their contribution to the development of the cultural industry, heeding the Prime Minister’s call from earlier this year.
The show’s popularity has also positively impacted Yeah1’s stock price on the stock market. On December 9th, YEG shares surged, reaching a 26-month high of VND 14,350 per share, and trading volume spiked with nearly 3.3 million shares changing hands.
Since the beginning of November, YEG shares have climbed nearly 40% in value in just over a month. If we look at the year-to-date performance, YEG shares have risen over 19%, pushing market capitalization to nearly VND 2 trillion.
Exceptional Profit in Q3/2024
Yeah1’s impressive stock performance is also bolstered by their strong financial results.
The entertainment company revealed that its revenue for Q3/2024 exceeded VND 345 billion, a threefold increase from the same period last year, and the highest since Q4/2020. After deducting related expenses, Yeah1 reported a tenfold increase in profit compared to the previous year, reaching over VND 34 billion.
In addition to revenue from advertising and media, Yeah1 also earned VND 25 billion from financial activities in Q3, including gains from the fair value change in investments in associates, as well as interest income from deposits and loans.
For the first nine months of 2024, Yeah 1 recorded a revenue of over VND 629 billion, more than 2.4 times higher than the previous year, and a net profit of nearly VND 56 billion, a 4.5-fold increase compared to 2023.
