According to information from the General Department of Market Management (GDMM) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, through local management, Team 8 of the GDMM in Phu Tho province, in coordination with Team 7 and the Economic Security Division of the Public Security of Thanh Thuy district, inspected a warehouse located in Khu 8, Dong Trung commune, Thanh Thuy district, Phu Tho province, owned by Mr. Nguyen Duc Tinh’s household business.

The inspection revealed 5,820 units of products, including shoes and clogs bearing the labels “Adidas and image” and “Nike and image.” The Adidas and Nike labels were printed and attached directly to the products and could not be separated from them, indicating counterfeiting of protected trademarks in Vietnam.
At the time of the inspection, Mr. Tinh could not produce invoices or documents proving the legal origin of the goods.
Team 8 of the GDMM has initiated procedures to temporarily confiscate all the goods and is coordinating with the PA04 Division of the Phu Tho Provincial Police to clarify the case in accordance with the law.
