An Integrated Charging Station Model: A Promising Venture

I invested in three V-Green charging stations, catering to EV owners’ needs while attracting passing customers “, said Mr. Thanh Tuan, owner of a car care center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He shared his collaboration with V-Green, the developer of VinFast electric vehicle charging stations through a franchise model.

Mr. Tuan explained that 3-5 years ago, no one thought this business model could succeed due to the small number of electric vehicles. However, with the growing popularity of EVs, operating a charging station has become a profitable and stable venture. He calculated that his facility serves approximately 7-8 vehicles per day, generating a revenue of VND 15,000-90,000 (USD 0.62-3.72) per charge, totaling around VND 20 million (USD 826) monthly.

He expects this income to increase as more customers learn about his charging station and with the rising number of EVs each month.

In reality, V-Green’s integrated service charging model has attracted the interest of numerous individuals and companies. Many restaurant owners, eateries, parking lots, and car care centers have quickly registered for this model as having a charging station is a draw for EV owners to their establishments.

I installed two EV charging stations in front of my restaurant’s parking lot for customers who need to charge their vehicles. The feedback has been excellent as they can charge their cars while dining “, shared Ms. Thanh Huong, owner of a European-style restaurant in Hanoi.

Extending the Reach: Developing Charging Stations to Promote EV Adoption

It’s not just individuals and small businesses that are getting involved; an increasing number of enterprises are also investing in franchised charging stations.

In recent months, diverse companies have joined forces with V-Green to expand the network of franchised charging stations. The latest is a significant partnership between V-Green and Fast+ to install 5,000 charging stations nationwide. Prior to this, V-Green also signed an agreement with PV Power to develop 1,000 franchised stations according to their plan.

According to experts, this is a shrewd business move as VinFast is currently the leading automotive brand in Vietnam. Establishing charging points for VinFast electric vehicles clearly offers significant business potential.

Conversely, V-Green’s franchised charging station model can be seen as an extended arm for VinFast to enhance its EV infrastructure. In fact, shortly after launching the franchise program, V-Green received thousands of applications, indicating the potential addition of thousands or tens of thousands of charging ports to their existing network of 150,000 ports across all 63 provinces in Vietnam.
