On December 23, the Quang Ngai Provincial Police announced that they are expanding their investigation into a bribery case that occurred at the Management Board of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Zones in Quang Ngai Province. On December 19, the Provincial Police issued a supplementary decision to initiate a criminal case.
The Investigation Agency of the Quang Ngai Provincial Police has issued decisions to prosecute, search, and arrest a suspect, identified as ĐVC (43 years old, former deputy director of a company headquartered in the Dung Quat Economic Zone), for abuse of power and position to appropriate assets, as stipulated in Clause 4, Article 355 of the Criminal Code.
The Quang Ngai Provincial Police issued a supplementary decision to prosecute Nguyen Pham Trong Nghia (50 years old, former deputy head of the Management Board of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Zones) for abuse of power and position to appropriate assets, as per Clause 4, Article 355 of the Criminal Code.
Previously, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Quang Ngai Provincial Police had decided to prosecute and detain Nghia for taking bribes.
The Investigation Agency of the Quang Ngai Provincial Police issued a supplementary decision to prosecute Tran Minh Khoi (48 years old, former head of the Planning and Construction Department under the Management Board of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Zones) for abuse of power and position to appropriate assets, as stipulated in Clause 4, Article 355 of the Criminal Code.
Earlier, the Provincial Criminal Investigation Agency had decided to prosecute Khoi for taking bribes.
The Quang Ngai Provincial Police are continuing their investigation and expanding the scope of the case.
