On January 20, the 2025 Yamaha Janus 125 was officially launched in the Vietnamese market with three variants: Standard, Premium, and Limited. The respective prices are VND 29.15 million, VND 33.17 million, and VND 33.38 million (8% VAT) and VND 29.69 million, VND 33.79 million, and VND 34 million (10% VAT).

New Design

The new-generation Yamaha Janus 125 2025 features a redesigned look with a focus on improved practicality. The most noticeable change is in the body and tail section. The tail is sleeker, with turn signals now positioned near the rear lights instead of being mounted separately on the mudguard, resulting in a more streamlined and elegant overall appearance, appealing to a diverse range of customers. The rear lights retain their U-shape but with a new design, creating a more striking impression.

The seat has been redesigned to be flatter, with a new length of 760mm, an increase of 77mm compared to the previous version, providing more comfort for both the rider and the passenger. Notably, the Anti-Heat Seat technology (exclusive to the Limited edition) integrated into the seat boasts a heat reflection rate of up to 45%, suitable for tropical climates like Vietnam, ensuring a cool sitting experience even when the vehicle is left in the sun for extended periods.

The footrest area has been expanded by 20mm, optimizing space and enhancing comfort during long-distance journeys. The fuel tank has been designed for easier refueling and improved space efficiency, with a capacity of 4.2 liters.

The LCD display combines with an analog clock to provide full vehicle information, and the always-on headlights feature chrome trim. The center of the front mask stands out with its contrasting plastic and unique “i” position light. The Yamaha Janus 2024 retains the same dimensions of 1,850 x 705 x 1,120 mm (length x width x height), suitable for the general Vietnamese physique.

Improved Features

The all-new Yamaha Janus 125 boasts a host of improved features. The storage compartment has been expanded by 1.1 liters, resulting in a total capacity of 15.3 liters. However, this figure is slightly lower than that of its competitor, the Honda Vision (18 liters). Additionally, the compartment has been upgraded with a heat-insulating layer at the bottom to reduce engine heat and protect the contents. The addition of a USB charging port in the compartment further enhances convenience.

While the front and rear wheel sizes remain unchanged, the standard fitment of tubeless tires results in a lighter vehicle, reducing the risk of punctures and ensuring enhanced safety and durability compared to traditional tires. The hydraulic disc brake system provides superior emergency braking performance.

Additionally, the scooter is equipped with a Smart Key system, including a rotating knob for vehicle location, power on/off, steering lock/unlock, and seat opening (in conjunction with the “Seat” button). The one-push start system minimizes noise, and the Stop & Start system automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle is stationary (available on the Special and Limited editions).

Unchanged Engine

The all-new Yamaha Janus 125 continues to be powered by the air-cooled 125cc Blue Core engine, delivering a maximum output of 9.4 horsepower and 9.6 Nm of torque, coupled with an electronic fuel injection system for improved fuel efficiency (1.87 liters/100km).

With its launch close to the Tet holiday, Yamaha Janus customers will receive a Tet gift voucher worth VND 2 million, redeemable at over 200 brands.

Furthermore, from December 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025, customers purchasing the Latte, Yamaha Exciter 155 VVA (excluding the standard version), Jupiter Finn, and Sirius Fi (excluding the spoked wheel disc brake version) will be eligible for vouchers, registration support, or 0% interest installment plans.
