The Da Nang Land Development Centre has announced an auction for the lease of land lots A2.4 and A2.5, located on the approach road to the Dragon Bridge (An Hai Nam Ward, Son Tra District), for the operation of the Son Tra Night Market.

The total area of the land lots is over 3,800 sq. m., with a starting rent of 260,000 VND/sq. m./year. The lease period is for three years.

Da Nang City requires investors to have sufficient financial capacity and experience in managing night markets. They must also commit to accommodating 190 traders currently operating in the Son Tra Night Market, who have signed contracts with the Da Nang DHTC Joint Stock Company.

The Son Tra Night Market is currently located on Mai Hac De and Ly Nam De Streets, about 200 m away from the A2.4 and A2.5 land lots.

Investors are required to make a 10% deposit of the land rent, and develop the night market according to the approved plan. The registration period for the land lease is from March 18 to April 16.

In July 2024, the People’s Committee of Son Tra District issued a plan for the operation of the Son Tra Night Market. The proposed location for the market is the aforementioned land lots, which are close to the existing Son Tra Night Market.

The market is expected to have 250 stalls with a total area of 1,500 sq. m., occupying 39.35% of the land. The remaining area will be allocated for walkways, goods collection areas, and auxiliary facilities.

The business sectors at the Son Tra Night Market include cuisine, crafts, souvenirs, local products, fashion, shoes, bags, and foot massage services, among others. The operating hours of the night market are from 5:30 pm to 12:00 am daily.

The Son Tra Night Market is currently located on Mai Hac De and Ly Nam De Streets and has been in operation since September 2018.

In March 2024, the People’s Committee of Son Tra District announced the termination of the Son Tra Night Market’s operation from July 1, 2024, due to the expiration of the pilot period. The market has continued to operate after several extensions.
